meh sorry if I came off as an asshole just brag threads really annoy me, When you train yourself you are competing with yourself not others it shouldn't matter what amounts others can lift, it matters how much you improve.

once again no one is braggin, its funny how you love to comment on my posts, im 17 years old and i only been lifting for 7 months, the reason i posted the weight i use, the sets, and reps, is because, if u would read the posts in the regular bulking up, there is a post there im not so sure by a moderator, that says when writing a post u should type in ur workout routine, reps, and weight used, so u can be help, and this post was not to brag, it was to inform, and hopefully someone can inform me, if what im doing is not good, or if its good, so for your information, please do not write on my posts anymore, im not sure how old you are but im pretty sure your older than me, and you arguing and trying to put down a teenager is pretty pathetic, o and when you said 200 pounds is a beginner weight, im pretty sure, you did not start of benching 200 pounds 10 times, neither did i,it took 6 months, im not a beginner, nor am i and intermediate, im gaining myself, so do ME a favor, dont write on my posts anymore, i dont want to hear your answers, nor your opinions, and/or help. thank you very much.

So far you're doing good, make sure to keep good form.  I'd suggest changing up things like increasing your reps and decreasing the wait for maybe a month, just to make sure your limbs and body can handle the weight you do.  This'll help you control the heavier weights much more easily.  A lot of people who bench press tend to do typical 12 reps/3 sets of 60-70% max bench press and they shake every time they push it up.  I wouldn't suggest doing high reps for more than a month though, and high reps would be 20-25, with like 50% max weight.

I agree that with good instruction the weight mentioned is quite achievable, the number of sets to me is excessive but depends on goal and the rest of your workout. I have seen young guys in the gym that do nothing but bench and bi`s. I`ve also seen many guys given a program and still be doing the same program with the same wt after 6mths, no one bothers to check.
I rarely do dropset methods but may suit your spotters. If one starts benching 120 and only adds 5lb/week it don`t take long..
I started my younger son at 17 weight 127 took 6mths to get to a 180 benchpress now he`s just increasing set size. Myself I teach to increase wt with each set, 1 warmup and 3 working sets is usually enough. once every 2 months I`ll do a 10x10 workout, or during morning cardio I`ll put like a light wt on bench 160 and do a set of 50 then same with cable rows..I get bored with stat bike when weathers crap. I don`t max out anymore just vary the excersize. bodybuilding don`t need big wts but its fun to have the lil extra strength.

I agree with Ingmar, many ppl cant lift even their own weight.. im about 57kg and 172cm (BMI 19,3), so im pretty skinny, but i can bench atleast 3 x 75kg, never tried 1 rep max but i think its like 80-85kg, i only workout with bench about 2 times a week with 50-55kg and been doing that only about month or two ,so its pretty new to me.
