Okay, I subscribed to a benchpress thing on Criticalbench.com (I don't know why lmao), and I watched most of this video, and it seems really accurate. http://www.criticalbench.com/strength/bench-press-technique-secrets/PS: Yes, you hold your breathe

Is this mirrored on YouTube? It's not showing up on my phone.. I already do them at home unattended with collars on.. Do I need to know anything else? And Tommi, mrlol whoever wants to field this one, when doing this lift how far should I stop the bar on the negative? (or if I should stop it before the sternum at all)

Well I go all the way down until bar touches chest and press up again. The greatest advice has been the elbow correction,to tuck them in. Like this elbows don't go too far down and triceps helps more!

Should your heels be touching the ground or should they be in a position in where you try to drive them into the ground but cant?

Depends. The way I like to bench, and I see a lot of people doing (if they know how to arch their back) is bench with the ball of your foot touching, but heel is up. Just drive with the ball of your foot. But in some federations (USAPL for instance) it's required that you have your heel on the floor at all times, so you need to keep your feet out wider to have the heel touching. If you are just benching to train, not planning on competing, then just whatever is comfortable. But a lot of the bench, is leg drive. If you bench without leg drive, you might as well keep your feet on top of the bench. And Tommi, mrlol whoever wants to field this one, when doing this lift how far should I stop the bar on the negative? (or if I should stop it before the sternum at all)
You touch your chest. Sternum rather. You always go down, touch around your bottom rib, then press strait up.

The guy in the OP video says to go to the bottom of your nipple on the neg, so yes right at the sternum seems right.

You touch your chest. Sternum rather. You always go down, touch around your bottom rib, then press strait up. Bottom rib and sternum are two different things afaik. I'd say sternum (right below nipples) and you should be fine.

But if you push on the bottom of it, inbetween the 2 rib cages, you will feel a soft spot, like a drop off, that's where you're supposed to touch.
