Only if you have a preexisting injury (I think Scooby does, I assume you are going off his advice), or if you are using way more weight than you can handle, weak shoulders in general, or just doing it wrong.

Scooby said before he had trouble with his shoulder dislocating, which is why he had the surgery years ago.  Ever wonder about that scar on his shoulder?

If i do bench press in the floor, with dumbbells, and therefore my arms only go until horizontal (when they hit the floor) will i have less gains than if i do it in a bench and go below horizontal?

Yes, you're basically cutting the ROM in half. The reason scooby promotes doing it on the floor is probably for safety(slightly obvious..) and because everyone has a floor, not everyone has a bench or a fairly narrow elevated plane that can support a lot of weight in evils case

But you mean, is there a really lost in gains? If i could should i switch to a bench?
And which of the forms enfasises more the chest, the powerlifter form or the bodybuilder form?

EDIT: And less ROM also means more weight right?

Yeah you'll make less gains, more emphasis on the tri's. I believe most bodybuilders use powerlifting form for straight bench. Target chest more with DBs.

I didn't ask if it target more chest with dumbbells, but if it target more chest with powerlifting or bodybuilding form (straight or roung back).

Bodybuilding form will be using more EMG of the chest. But it has nothing to do with arched/flat back, but with the way your elbows move.

I know what you asked, and I answered it and added a suggestion. I guess you just didn't get it.
