About the benching on the floor thing, it's called Floorpress.  I use that exercise all the time cuz it's a great killer tricep workout, and it's insanely difficult.  Like from my bench max-floorpress max is like 20-30 pounds.  Floorpress is killer, and if thats all you can do, then so be it, but make sure you work your chest out as well, because it has minimal gains towards the chest.
