For god's sake....this is ridiculous. Form is impeccable. I can't wait for the new site to be up so they can talk about the feet straight thing. It's buggin' me.

Saw it and read Broz say that he weighs the lifters 3 times a day (might have been another video). I just dont understand how he can keep his lifters at basically the same weight and still have them gain so much strength. To me, it goes directly against everyone that says you need to eat a shitload to get that strong.

He talks about that too Not just squatting, maxing out 3 times a day, and doing the O-lifts...crazy. He controls their weight by weighing them twice a day...if they're getting any bigger --> smaller portions. You need lots of food to get bigger, but these guys want to stay in their weight class.

they probably do eat shitloads man, they'd have to not to lose weight lifting weights so often lol but I see your point about gaining weight. I think the thing about gaining weight is it helps when your muscles aren't big enough to 'use your levers properly' as I think jimmy wendler said in one of the SS round table discussions... so when you're already muscley you're limbs are already closer to their ideal sizes AND bear in mind they still have weight classes and their strongest lifter IS on the chubby side (not an insult) anyway, 2.8x bodyweight squat... very impressive!

Ya that part i understand (wanting to stay in their weight class) but i've always thought that to gain strength like they do, you have to overfeed to make sure the body gets enough. I cant wait for the site to finally be up and running.
Umbra, i remember that roundtable discussion (i think). Ideal levers through weight gain probably dont matter as much with oly lifts though because the start position and end are pretty much the same for everyone, whereas in powerlifting extra weight often helps shorten the ROM. Pat is the only chubby one i can think of at Broz Gym. A few of them are after a 3x bw squat and most of them are ripped. I just dont understand how they can gain strength like that with such a low bf%.

Just be honest: was it a good rep, was it a good set, was it a good work out, did it truly satisfyingly felt like a PB?

Impressive.
Wish that I could have their lifestyle. If I'm correct they just eat, rest and lift.

That's what I call a mammoth squat He didn't even look like he was maxing out. I reckon he could do a fair bit more.
