Ok, you all experienced lifters, I know upper body strength takes longer but in this case, it is going down... I did a 180lbsx5 easy 6 weeks ago and today I was struggling with 170lbsx3... I dont know whats going on... My routine has been SS for 4 weeks and recently just started crossfit workouts... My eating could be healthier but I am consuming a good amount of calories/protein (+Creatine). Currently in the military and we do cardio and calisthenics 3 times per week but its not hard. I would like help of you all.. what can I do to bring my bench up? My goals kind of make it hard to follow strength-oriented routines.. My goals are (Lose 6-8lbs; Increase explosiveness; Endurance and Raw strength) Help me Smiley

are you doing ss with crossfits?

or did you transfer from one routine to another?

it may be the cause. Smiley

How much time passed between the 180x5 and the 170x3? It could've be just one bad day you know.

Oh and by the way, increasing all 3 (explosivity, strength and endurance) in the same time is crazy, especially getting better at endurance while gaining raw strength.
I say mix dynamic effort days and max effort days - look out for westside barbell style and you'll grasp the concept pretty quickly.
