So a new branch of my gym that's closer to me finally opened, I was looking forward to it due to it being like, 5 minutes walk instead of 8 XD
I notice they've got a different brand of equipment, and I'm instantly interested in checking everything out, but I start doing my warmup-sets of DB squats and figured I'd check between sets. Well, when I saw the squat rack I was really glad. So I did BB squats, felt great, there's a catch tho'... It isn't a power-rack, which sucks, but more along the lines of this:

Only to make matters worse, the height isn't adjustable, and it's got 3 different height hooks. Their heights are just like an inch off for perfect comfort, but that's a problem I can manage.
So now the question is, how safe is this? Would I be better off doing front squats?
Apart from squats: Much more likable. Better benches, more DBs (2 pairs of same weight), I prefer the equipment in general, more places to do pullups with more different handles for variations. However, I can't do seated straight back cable rows anymore. Luckily I've started to work on my hamstring flexibility big-time, so I guess I'll be able to start doing Bent-over BB rows, starting light to get the form right, and hopefully my hamstring flexibility will be good enough to keep good form once the weights get heavy ^^ Also, it's got a stick for shoulder dislocations!
