    I watched this video:
At 30 second, he talks about why it should not be shoulder down and back, but rather shrugged up. Is that a correct advice? Though bench press is never my favorite exercise but from what I've learned so far it was quite different.

I remember seeing a post asking the same question a while ago. As long as you keep your shoulder blades pinched and your back arched you should be fine.

Yep, I posted something about that a while ago. Either way is fine, I ended up sticking with back and down just because I was more used to it.

Interesting. I've always kept my shoulder blades down. Might give this a try though.

    Tried it. Hate it.

Feels very uncomfortable and bad for my shoulders. Won't be doing that again.

I didn't like it either. It was just really uncomfortable for me.

Most important part is shoulders back.  I don't think they should be shrugged up though.

lol just be open-minded and experiment. I got my bench from 165 to 315 in just 4 weeks using this technique. Listen to the big dudes.

That's a pretty ginormous leap.  Took me 2 years to get from 225 to 370.  A lot of people told me that I was going really fast and called me a genetic freak lol.  I tip my hat to you sir.

I'm sorry, concuncon, I don't believe you can bench 315.
