Are you a member? I got denied membership. I guess it's because I try not to get injuries when I exercise or maybe my Fran times are too low.

What bugs me is the fact that every time you see a sticky in a forum, there's always a thread asking something that was answered in the sticky on the first page of topics. As though the sticky had a big fat "ignore me"-sign on it. Not to mention the countless pullups/deadlifts threads. I'd love for us to implement a system that reads the title, and if it has "deadlift" in it, direct it to Rippetoe's videos and ask "is your question answered, or you do still want to post it?" (Just kidding btw, but it would be awesome) The only problem with the #-of-posts solution, is the fact that some who've been lifting for years might just have found this site, and their 2nd post ever belongs in advanced... I think these problems aren't so much a problem with this forum, as much as it's a problem with forums on the internet in general. Every forum I've ever been on, I was amazed on a regular basis on how much people hate to look through stickies, FAQs, & use the search engine -.- (Speaking of, we should have a huge FAQ for every subforum)

^ I had thought of that before too. /fit/ has a picture that's a good thing to look at to see what should be included. I don't have it, and it needs to be corrected but I'm sure someone could get it and fix it up then post the text. It definitely could save some time
It was pretty much just a picture made on ms paint with a beginners FAQ. Sure someone could /r/ it

I'd say - at least 5.000, then there are probably just 1-2 people posting here once a day Wow, then only canadianguy could post! That would be hilarious @Everyone: We've discussed this for a really long time and changed the description, stickies, name of this forum many times. The problem is that these newbies don't read descriptions, stickies or excellent postings. We're well aware of this mess so don't think that we're just looking and not doing anything These things take time!

See it that way, people who have a little bit of experience with forums know that there are stickied/pinned threads and topics in the forum sections - I always make sure to check them or use the search function first before asking stuff. You only see the people who ask the same old questions, you just give the same old answers - not a difficult exercise right? In every forum in the web this happens, it's simply natural for a community/forum. What you don't see is the amount of people who actually use the stickies and stuff... They never ask the already answered questions

We now restricted access to this forum to people with at least 50 posts, as the majority of moved postings came from new users.

I have, ONE time, moved a post from Bulking to Advanced. We do keep an eye on these things, and if a post truly belongs here in Advanced, we'll move it! You can help out--if you come across a thread somewhere else, that you believe should be moved to Advanced, click on the "Notify" icon and suggest that a mod move it.

Mine wasn't it? Not saying it's a common occurrence, I'm guessing it's quite rare, but I just imagined the guy who knew what he was talking about and wanted to ask a question about a specific powerlifting technique not being allowed to post here Sometimes you just gotta be pragmatic, and this is definitely an issue where it's for "the greater good" to risk that scenario.
