So, got motivated to be in better health. Not overweight by any means, average skinny kid in high school. I did pushups & situps every once in awhile and I've stayed active since high school, playing basketball, hiking, etc. Prior to using scooby's site, the first thing I purchased to get in shape was the perfect pushup, did that religiously for about 3-4 months.
I've been using scooby's workout routines for a year now and have also been using an extra deadlift routine from this board that wolf wrote. When I started with the site, according to scooby's parameters, I was able to start with the intermediate workout. Within 2 months of starting I was able to do 20 good pushups and 10 good pullups. So I went to the advanced routine. I should also add that prior to me buying a shitload of weights, I had been working at my current job moving furniture for 3 years. (So I at least had a little bit of muscle due to that)
The point: I don't have access to a squat rack or BP but like I said, I do the deadlift routine along with scooby's advanced program. I've read many articles (not necessarily ALL from here) that say you should really work your compounds as a beginner so that you develop properly. I by no means have hit a plateau and am still gaining regularly, eating correctly, etc.
Just wondering if there is anything I should add or drop to my workouts that would be conducive to a balanced physique and aid in keeping injuries away? This is also my 1st post, awesome source of information, thanks to everyone who contributes.
