Hey, Im 15 , im 6ft2 and i weight 205 lbs ( 93 kg ) So my question is if i should do higher or lower reps? Because low reps are for muscle mass and high reps are for strength. Im naturaly strong and oversized also a bit overweight but im working on it  So should i do higher or lower reps? My goal is to like make my muscles quite visible and im not sure which one of these will be better for it? Thanks

If you want your muscles to be visible, you can achieve it either by lowering your bodyfat to reveal your current muscles or to grow your muscles to show them despite the fat.

ah i thought it was the other way round  but i yes that my question, to grow my muscles should i do higher or lower reps because someone told me that mass building makes you look like more fatty and srength workouts makes your muscles look more visible. Im not sure if its true tho :/

you can lift all the weights you want, if you dont lower your body fat percentage then you are not going to be able to see real definition

ok thanks everyone, and yes im working really hard on my body fat And one more thing. if i used to do higher weight lower reps with 8 kg and 10 reps, then if i want to do lower weight higher reps how many reps and kg should i have? Do you get what i mean ? :>

higher weight = increased strength and naturally you cant do many reps with a very heavy weight. so you gain more strength .cuz you shock your central nervous system. 6-12 reps you activate the corresponding muscle fibers more so they get bigger.

High weights with low reps = strength Lower weights with higher reps = hypertrophy ^ this is what I said. It means the following: 8-12 reps with 8kg will build you more muscle than 4-8 reps with 12kg whereas the latter will make you stronger faster.

1-5 reps 85-100% Neural Strength & power little hypertrophy 6-8 reps 75-85% Neural & metabolic Strength & Hypertrophy 9-12 reps 70-75% Metabolic & Neural Hypertrophy & some strength 13-20+ reps 60-70% Metabolic local endurance some hypertrophy, little strength
Thus, 9-12 reps are best for size. And hypertrophy means size.

hypertrophy by definition means excessive development of an organ or part, which in our context refers to the muscles. :3
