Hmm, lay down on a couch and don't move your limbs Grin.

Sleep less for example and I think that sleeping too much also slows metabolism.

you should be glad you have a fast metabolism. I do too. But I'm guessing you have the concept of "I need fat in order to bulk up." You should know that you don't need fat to gain muscle. Because you have a fast metabolism, you don't need to worry about losing fat and can focus mainly on gaining muscle. Eat right, workout often, and you'll be hitting your goal step by step.

You can use the calculator on this site to see what your weight maintenance target for daily calories is, then if you are lifting weights try adding a couple hundred calories extra per day. You can then check every couple weeks using a caliper or something similar to see if you are gaining fat as well as muscle, if you are then you can tweak your foods. As far as slowing your metabolism, well you could stop lifting weights and do no cardio, just sit on the couch every day. Then all teh calories will turn into fat, but I don't think that's your goal.  Wink

Most questions you have about building muscle is answered in this article.

Getting big, strong muscles and losing fat is simple but it's not easy! To accomplish anything worthwhile in life, you need a firmly fixed goal; willpower; a high tolerance for pain.
