i never see many people do it. any thoughts on this exercise?  i do cgbp and the incline seems to target triceps the same way as the flat cgbp. i dont have incline bench in my routine. so this would be a nice way to hit my upper chest while keeping the exercises i have in my routine the same. i would just modify this one to incline instead of flat.

The reason why this isn't as popular is mainly because usually for most people they can bench more flat than they can incline, i guess comfort may be a factor in incline close grip bench press, with the secondary targets being more of the upper chest and extra work to the shoulders, where as a flat bench hits the whole chest. Triceps shouldn't have much of an effect in terms of 1 angle hitting it more than the other, considering your using a correct grip width.

As CGBP is primarly a triceps exercise, I don't know if you would actually get that much results for your upper chest.

I'll be honest, I've bene thinking a lot about this one aswell. Just because it would increase ROM a lot. However people are weaker at their incline press, so not sure whether incline CGBP would be a good alternative.
Try it out and report back? Tongue

Chest dips would work your lower pecs more, I'm pretty sure.
