So, i jump rope (cardio) for about 30 min almost everyday. It's pretty intense.
My calves never get sore and they only hurt a tiny bit after cardio, but when i'm doing cardio, (especially in the first 10 min and in the last 10 min) they hurt really bad. It's not that i can't handle it, but it's kind of annoying and decreases my performance. I noticed that when for some reason i don't do cardio the next day my calves slmost don't hurt in cardio and i jump much better. So, am i overtraining? If yes, what should i do, jump 3-4 day a week, jump for just 20 min everyday, what?

And now that we are in topic, i'm planning on training my calves (standing and seated calf raises) 2-3 times a week. If i do this will it be okay to do jump rope? Or it's better to just do jump rope the day i do calves?

Cheers

Due to the small size of the calve muscles I do believe that they can be trained everyday. I don't see why all of your exercises can't be undertaken to help build strong calves , but your best getting a second opinion before you make any radical decisions.

Small mucles can be trained everyday? That makes no sense, i thought calves could be trained more often because they handle a lot of weight and are used to everyday activity (walk, run...) and so they recover more quicker.

My fear is that i overtrain my calves, doing intense jump rope everyday plus standing and seated calf raises 3 days a week.
