So hi everyone,
I have decided to start doing full body workouts every other day, with cardio sessions in between.
What i want to ask is if doing 1 exercise for each body part every second day is enough?

I have been lifting for almost 2 years and i am a bit tired of doing isolations and 1 body part at a time, but are 3 sets of one exercise enough for each muscle group?

In FBW you do compounds so if you do chin ups and rows you did 6 sets for back and biceps. This is 18 sets for back a week + deadlifts. Same is with all other muscles.

And i think you should choose routine someone experienced has made, than make one yourself if you are not that experienced in bodybuilding

Choose one for here for example: http://www.askscooby.com/excellent-postings/21-workout-routines-37958/

I was sceptical about full body workouts but I gave it a month and made my best gains to date. 2 kg of mass, only slight increase in body fat and added 30kg to my deadlift, extra 3 pull ups to name the most notable improvements.
I recommend it highly. It also saved me a lot of time and allowed me to get more cardio in.
My only gripes doing a Monday Wednesday Friday split was that if I squatted Monday morning, my legs would still be sore Wednesday night so consequently I've gone onto an upper/lower 4daw split to facilitate better recovery.
Hope this helps.

It's really odd how beginners only ever want to do splits and resist FB routines. I was guilty of this until I saw reason.

Splits can be useful once you get to a decent standard, but if you're squatting less than 1.5xBW then forget it. Stick to FB and you'll make much better gains.

this is exactly right, no split will have you doing heavy compound exercises for the same muscle group 3 times a week.  benching 3 times a week, often squatting or deadlifting 3 times  week, overhead press a few times a week, its a very intense way to work out.  trust me, those extra isolation  movements that you do in a split routine like side raises or dumbell flys are not going to help you pack on the pounds.

I personally rather do splits, FBW just isnt for me and I've been able to move along just fine without doing FBW's. Your not a beginner so why are you wanting to change? have you switched up your workouts at all in the last 2 yrs? a lil more info about what your doing now would be helpful.

And just to add the claim that iso's wont help you " pack o the pounds" is just plain stupid.

To continue when the thought of giving up comes to mind is when the actual battle is beginning. :3  If your splits are working and giving you gains, why change it? :3 If you're interested, why not give full body workouts a try and determine for yourself it it's for you or not for you.

3 sets per body part is enough.  I only do two. Tongue
