Hey guys, i have searched and looked for an answer to this question for a long time, i was trying to ask Scooby on the live back workout just, but it was crazyyy. I am 6.3 in height roughly and used to be very skinny, i started working out last year and have noticable gains, but my sholders are very boney and i hate them, i dont take my shirt off because of it and with summer coming i was hoping to have hidden my curse, as i call it lol. How do i get that rounded sholder that everyone else seems to have? Thanks xxx

There isnt any magical thing you can get it right away(not saying you think that), but the best way i can think of is doing some FBW since your just starting and eating A LOT! And by a lot i mean much more than you think is a lot. When i think im eating enough, i check my calories on this calculator, and its way too low. What is your current routine? You could get faster gains with FBW if your not already using it, since your quite new to weightlifting.

Sorry i have no idea what FBW is...? I googled it but couldn't find an explination lol
Im currently following P90X if youve heard of it, i struggle to do a full session but i love how simple and exausting it is. As for my diet i dont really have one, i just stay away from the fatty foods and try to take in as much protein as i can. Tuna pasta bake, brown rice, egg whites, beans on toast ect are always the top of my menu lol.

What does your current workout schedule look like? what exercises are you doing?

Concentrate more on your shoulders. To get the V taper (the sides of the shoulders) you need to do side raises.

FBW=Full Body Workout. how far into P90X are you ? if you just started i would switch over to a weight lifting routine instead.

If you dont have a diet and your following P90 then your really not bodybuilding your on a more conditioning based program. You need weight and lots of it along with a proper diet.

Because your wanting mass to hide your skinny shoulders? Then p90x isnt the right routine. It is good for something, but not the best for building mass. Some routine for here example: http://www.askscooby.com/excellent-postings/21-workout-routines-37958/Would give you much better muscle and probably strength gains aswell. I would suggest Weightlifting option 1, or 2 since your a beginner, i would take option 1.

dumbell shoulder press / military press /reverse flies/lateral raises + more calories than your body needs to maintain your current weight= big round shoulders.

Assuming you already have a good shoulder routine. stick to it give it time and the results will follow. That begin said adding some side raises and upright rows will help. Also if you can preform a over head press behind the neck with good form it will help shift some of the load to your middle and rear deltoids. press on.
What others have posted about p90x is pretty accurate, not the best mass routine. The reason why i asked how far in you were is if you were almost complete i would say to finish it ( enjoying the results ) and then rest and begin a mass building routine. also you should be consuming a different diet to build muscle than the one you were following or p90x.
