hello Cheesy
I am doing stronglifts 5x5 from 3 months or so and soon i will accomplish my beginner goals as set by wolf. After doing stronglifts i am no more a fan of doing curls and extensions. I have seen gains in all parts of my body except biceps. I am looking forward to change my routine. I need a routine without curls and other isolations. Is it possible to build big arms without doing curls? Suggest a good routine please

In the previous version of Stronglifts, the guy also had some accessory exercises at the end of the main barbell ones.

After workout A it's dips, and after workout B it's pull-ups/chin-ups alternating every workout.

Why don't you continue 5x5 with more weight and maybe add those accessory exercises?

You get great biceps with pull-ups and chin-ups.

My routine isn't SS or SL but it includes chinups. They work wonders for your biceps and back, and will help you improve strength in rows.

BIG arms? Not without steroids or some isolations, but you can get pretty decent 15-16 inch ones by pullups and rows. It will just take a while.

friend,i asked this question earlier that whether should i add dips/pullups to this routine, response was that i wont be able to recover from workouts after the weight on heavy compounds increases.
    I currently have 12 inch arms :|

Well, that's bollocks if you ask me. There is a reason same these exercises were there in his previous version of Stronglifts.

I see absolutely no reason to not do them. We are of course talking about bodyweight dips and pull/chin-ups. If you added weight then yeah I can see how it would be overtraining.

    It is.

You may continue to do 5x5 as it's not really necessary to change routines if it's allowing you to gain. But if you're interested in changing, choose something from the wolf's 21 routine, or try scooby's routine for some hypertrophy. Smiley  Or http://www.cbass.com/KevinDye.htm

You should be doing 5/3/1 after stronglifts. Smiley
