    Not sure what you call High BP, there are many factors onvolved..Your doctor needs to know exactly what intentions you have in mind and the first thing is to find the reasons for why its high and or if medication is reqired to keep it under controll. Some medications soften the arteriers thus pushing it back up with to much exercise may be counter productive, a close relationship with a good doctor is to me the most important thing..
    If one is of heavy weight starting an early morning walk is a good step to bring down the weight and get the cardio vastcular system working better..
    If you previously worked with weights light dumbell work of high reps will build some stamina and a little muscle and as the BP comes down so the weight increased and reps come down..
    But you have not said much so I can only say check with the doctor and don`t go it alone....cheers
