Hi everyone !
I am new to this forum (registered 3 days ago), but I already love it, people here are so helpful and friendly!
But well I'm here to introduce myself I think...

My name is Aurélien. William is my second name, and I prefer to use that one especially with people who speak english...yeah try to pronounce my name properly, almost impossible when you speak english

. And I have chosen this username because I think "will" is extremely important in life (you'll understand what I mean with my background) and it is also my nickname (good pun, isnt it??

)...
I'm French (and I struggle a lot with my English, so really don't hesitate to tell me when I make a mistake, it would be really helpful).
I will try to explain you what brought me to my new lifestyle...
When I was younger (10 to 14) I was really really fat, and I felt very uncomfortable about that (because at that time, 10 years ago, it was not common to be a teen and nearly obese in France, at least not where I lived)... It was really easy to make fun of me and when you are young it is not always an easy situation ! And I kind of liked girls, but they didn't !!!

So I took a ridiculous decision : I almost stopped eating...

After a while I became really skinny (because I didn't eat enough, played sports all the time to lose weight and I also grew up very quickly)... Too skinny... And that actually became my problem! So hard to put on weight! As if my metabolism had completely changed...
I was very mixed up about being that skinny (16 years old, 1m78 (didn't change since then) for hardly 60kg => 5ft 84 / 132 pounds), paradoxical, isn't it?
So I had suffered from being fat, and I then suffered from being skinny... And at 18 (65kg => 143 pounds), I decided I would try to gain muscle (cause I wanted to put on weight, but without gaining fat...), and went to the gym with a friend.
I didn't know anything about BB, no plan, nothing... I just thought that lifting weights would help me gainig muscle, and worked all muscle groups at the same time, without any logic. I didn't have a good nutrition, didn't have a clue of what "triceps" or "lats" were, no technique or no proper exercise (just used dumbells trying to be creative

)!
I went to Uni almost at the same time, two months later, and a good athletic trainer who supervised the gym helped me...
But here came the hero, aka Scooby. I found his videos on Youtube, and began to understand what to do and why !!!
BB became more than a simple leisure, it became a real passion... I bought many books (in French of course

), searched many things on the Internet and longed for new videos from Scooby all the time! I think I knew how to do the different exercises at that time.
But my nutrition was still not very good... And a video from Scooby made me realise how important nutrition was, so once again I have done research on the subject...
I began to help new people in the gym, and really enjoyed explaining them what to do and why (as Scooby did for me).
I enjoy it so much that I'm now thinking about becoming an athletic (or personnal, however you call that in English

) trainer! I want to understand how things work, and I want to be able to explain them.
That is now my new philosophy, when you think you know enough things, always look further and try to learn more and more... (as I have written in my "signature", I think "knowledge & dedication" is the key to everything).
This is what brought me to this forum: I usually hate forums, but there were a few things I was not sure about, so I thought "why not give it a try?" . So I registered (3 days ago), asked a few questions and found the replies very helpful, well explained, quick, etc (thanks guys). So I just fell in love with this forum (in a way

), and now I spend much time reading and trying to help others with the things I learnt (but it is hard to translate the things I know in French into English ).
Now I think I am able to work out and eat well (thank you SO much Scooby)! I am 21 (nearly 22), 1m78 / 78kg (5 ft 84 / 172 pounds).
I have never cheated (honestly), no steroids or anything of the kind, just good nutrition! Well actually I do take Whey protein, but it's not cheating...
I'm not ashamed of my body anymore, and quite proud of the transformation (it is SO enjoyable...) !
