Huhhuu, I really should write that post about winter running. What keeps you from not running when it is -20?

the thing is that i can't breathe  properly my neck is almost frozen and with the damn with i run like a frozen vegetable

Then you can do my cardio :
    -20 jump squats
    -30 seconds mountain climber
    -20 jumping jacks
    -20 burpees

1 min rest between and do this all over again 4 to 6 times. Enjoy!

o0 don't go for cardio if it's -20°C that's not healthy (maybe walking could be okay). yesterday I went for a fast run and it  was only -5°C and some cold wind but my lung started to hurt badly after a while.
I decided not to run if it's colder than -10°C.

I think that has something to do with your breating. I run at -15°C and i am just fine

Cold air narrows airways and "forcing" air through them when you're running irritates them which makes that burning sensation happen.

I do not get that feeling no matter how cold it gets because I think I've gotten used to cardio in cold environment.

You cant run as fast when it is cold... so no real comparison... usually there is also snow when it is really cold, and snow slows you down a lot and usually increases intensity too Cheesy.

However if one trains properly to do cardio with freaking cold weather, I believe it is doable. However I dont do it Wink. I had no problem with running in winter. Usually I ran slower with cold weather as I could not ran at my beloved fast speeds anyway (too dangerous). However since I switched to biking it is too brutal to do it now (-13 deg Celcius) - because of the faster speeds (even when riding slow).

how fast are you guys running?

Temperature was about -10 degrees Celsius in both:

    Half marathon(In my signature too) in 1h 56 mins = ~11km/h = ~3,05m/s = ~6,84mp/h
    If an hour run then = 12-13km/h = 3,33-3,61m/s = 7,46-8,08mp/h

    Doesn't slow me down really.

I don't feel that cold weather slows me down either, as long as it's not icy on the ground. I was out running just now, and it's minus 11 degrees celsius right now. I didn't put on quite enough clothes so my legs and hands were a bit cold, but otherwise I was just fine.

By looking at the posts here, it is quite obvious that all of us get affected differently by running in cold weather. That being said, please do yourself a favor and listen to your body. If you can run in the cold without getting caused too much discomfort, and not feeling bad afterwards- go for it. Otherwise, try to find other types of cardio that will suffice until it gets warmer outside.
