its accurate to a degree,  if it takes your weight, and age.
    Things it cant account for,
    190lbs and fat
    190lbs and ripped
what you have done previous to that exersice, it has no idea if you just pumped for an hour and then hopped on. Or if you just woke up.

the only real way to know is t go to a hospital and get tested with respiration heartbeat the whole nine yards...

and that would be really expensive, now imagine for every workout lol

so best to take the estimate from the machine Tongue

Unless you can enter your weight and age into the cardio machine, all they give you is an "average". And even if they do have the settings for you to enter those, I still think it's not completely accurate. I think the manufacturers make them over-estimate the calories burned, so you are motivated and keep using them.

Here's a site that can also give you an idea of calories burned  ---> Calories Burned Calculator. Compare what the cardio machine tells you, to what this site says, and you may have a better idea.

it's only an average based on an equation but dont WORRY ABOUT IT.

*FOCUS on the best workout you can do that will kick your butt in only 20-to-40 minutes (hint: High intensity intervals) and...

*Ask yourself "What workout can I do where I almost feel like quitting but I push myself to finish because I'm 100% focused on looking better" and...

*Once you answer that... Do that workout 1-to-2 times a day 3-to-4 times a week and I guarantee you'll always lose at least 2 pounds of FAT a week even if you only have 10 pounds of stubborn fat to lose.
