Hi, as this few days i've started cardio of jogging 25minutes to 30minutes a day.
Before jog I would to proper stretchings & even after jog.
Yesterday i've injured my knee when i'm out for jogging,
So i went to see a doctor today & she said that the "Jelly" substance in my knee to support the joints are waring off if i continue jogging daily.
As i was injured & i couldn't even walk properly today so i don't think i'll be jogging for this few days.
The thing I'm shock was that the jelly in my knee join is waring off,
Is there of you out there who can guide me through this critical stage.
Weather is there anyway to improve or any food i can consume to improve the growth of that so called jelly substance in my knee joint.

Thank you in advance!

only time can heal that.

take a month off doing other forms of cardio that won't kill your knee (swimming and biking are the best i can think of).

once your month's over, ease back into running and slowly amp up your mileage (10% rule) and make sure to properly warm up (don't static stretch until after the run)

Well....frankly running is a pretty rough form of cardio. Even done completely correctly it can really give you a beating. But there's a ton of things you can do to lessen the impact on your joints, and help yourself heal, etc.

Is there another option besides jogging you can do? Or are you ABSOLUTELY dedicated to jogging? You might be better off just not jogging and biking, swimming, doing something else instead. But if you must jog..

-You should work on your ankle mobility. Your knees are going to get REALLY beat up if you don't have mobile ankles or hips. If nothing else think of it as if you fell from a tall height and landed on your feet and you bent your legs as you landed. You probably would've taken some of the force and dissipated it and would't terribly injured. Now imagine you fell and landed on your feet and didn't bend your legs at all. You'd probably shatter your kneecaps and break some part of your legs. This is what happens in a less extreme sense when you run but aren't very mobile (and is only one part of why that would be such a problem).

-Strengthen your glutes, both maximus and medius. If your muscles don't stabilize you, your joints will. Your muscles are tough and built for this, your joints are tough but aren't built to do this forever.

-Your injury is going to include a lot of inflammation, fish oil can really help with this. Besides that it has a huge list of great health benefits and is worth taking otherwise

-CHECKOUT YOUR FORM. Get someone who is a professional to watch you jog if you're going to continue to and make sure you're jogging correctly.

-Foam Roll. Your muscles and tissues get very beat up, this is the cheapest form of "massage" you can get and can help a lot of people get out of pain or prevent some possible risks.

-Jog on Grass or track or something REAL soft if you're going to continue to.

-Strengthening your hamstrings wouldn't hurt either

-If you weigh a lot, this isn't for you. There's much safer ways to lose weight or gain some athleticism. Unless you NEED to run you...don't need to run.

These are just a few tips. It's not called jelly...it's called cartilage. It doesn't really grow back so well and it does really scar up. This isn't anything to mess around with.

I was in the same situation 11 months ago. I did not listen to my body and take it easy, after unusually heavy use I could not put any weight on one of my knees for a few days. A month later my knee still felt a bit weak but I went jogging anyway, thinking exercise would help. I ended up in physio, and only in the past two weeks have I started jogging again (which felt amazing to be doing again, you don't fully appreciate what you have till you loose it).

Since you say you can't walk properly, I advise you err on the side of caution and leave it for atleast two weeks, and then get a bike. Cycle in a gear of low resistance and try to avoid hills.

Okay, yes indeed its sad, i had lots of trouble getting up & down the stairs in school today,
    Q: Is fish oil fatty?
& i'm weighing at 137pounds, with a pair of super skinny legs. :/
I'll try getting a bike asap if possible,
I've still a question if i go for riding bicycle as cardio daily, on how long must i ride per day & what is the intensity speed so i'll burn off my body fat %?

    Thank you all in advance!

well, if you're 137lbs, you shouldn't be dropping bodyfat.

but if you must, bike 40-60 a day at a moderate pace. you should be able to maintain a conversation, but may struggle a little. up the intensity as you see fit, but i'd use the bike as an active recovery
