My guess is that its your caloric intake.  http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Go to that and put in the information required and follow what it gives you.  Honestly your diet seems to need a lot of work as what your eating doesn't seem very healthy.  I mean what your eating is horrific but it could definitely improve big time.  Eating 2 cans of bake beans isn't the best way to go about losing weight.

Just remember, you can but your ass off all you want but if you keep eating a lot of calories a day, your not going to lose any weight man.

    Hi,

You don't lose weight at the gym.  You do so everywhere else.

    i. Approximate how much calories you consume each day. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
Based on your goal, you'll have to experiment to determine how much you should be eating because it may be over your intended calorie intake or it may be too less.  To know if you're on the right track, you're losing 1 pound per week, but your strength is gaining.  And eventually, you won't be able to lose more pounds while your strength will stagnate, which means - it's time to recalculate your tdee based on your goals and to eat a little more.

ii. cardio - like briskwalking/jogging etc. work.  20-30 minutes a day and you will see results.

iii. lift weights - no one wants to be skinny fat. Smiley

From what you've said your diet really needs work.
Firstly, it doesn't sound like you are including enough fibrous vegetables in your diet. Things like
broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sweet potato etc. Vegetables are very low in calories and will help keep
you full, and stop you from eating more.

Secondly, what are you drinking? Water is the best option, and the more you can stay clear
of juices/soft drink, the better off you'll be.
You should try to drink 2-3 litres of water a day. This will also
make you feel full, and water is just damn good for you.

Basically, to lose weight, you need to use more calories in a day by exercising, then you are taking in.

first of all, thanks for the replies guys,
well first of all i was doing the atkins diet, what is referred to as a yo-yo diet i think,20 carbs a day high fat low carb deal, lost alot of weight with that but that diet isnt good for the type of job im doing,
i work 8 hours a day of physical labour, and without proper carbs i just lack energy to do my job.
so i started eating a bit of carbs with gym, mainly my yumm ham vege samwitches, but as you have stated i dont have enough veges.

as for the second statement,im trying to drink as much water as possible and stay away from soft drinks, its so hard tho!after all the time iv spent living off the stuff lol, going from real bad foods to healthy stuff,my body is too used to those high calory foods lol,but trying my best, normally drinking lots of water at home and work, and if im lacking energy i might have a cup of coffee, two t spoons of coffee,no sugar or milk, just skull it lol.

but yeah all im really looking for is more of a guideline on what to eat ect,

again, thanks alot for the replies! keep it coming Tongue

To put it in a  really easy way

    Dodge these:

    White rice
    White pasta
    White bread
    Basically anything with white flour
    Saturated fats.
    Anything high in salt.

    Aim for more of these
    Fruit
    Fish
Lean red meat (I personally love kangaroo)
    Vegetables
    Whole grains.

But once again, calories in and calories out. If you eat more than you burn, you won't lose weight.

even the good stuffs are high in calories, seems the best weight loss diet is the atkins, low carb high fat ect,but its just unhealthy and no energy, arg lol

I personally think when looking to try out a diet, look up the good stuff, AND the bad stuff. do your research.

Bean are good.  Canned baked beans are terrible. That sauce or whatever that's in the can is loaded with added salt, sugar, and fat.

I buy bags of plain pinto beans and make them myself in a Crock Pot.

yeah. To put it simply losing weight is directly related to your calorie intake man.  If your trying to lose weight you simply have to cut your caloric intake.  You can still eat any food you want just not go over a certain limit.  That's what I've done and I've lost 22lbs.  So it works.
