Well I'm doing the beep test on Monday and aiming for a 8.7, I done it today and stopped at 7.9 I have a feeling I could've got more, but my curiosity of my current score got the better of me so I stopped so I could see what it was, I do think I was pushing abit at the beeps, so I was wondering what is the best way to increase my cardiovascular fitness and be abit faster when I'm fatigued, will increasing my cardiovascular make me abit faster on the beep test in later levels? Please help!
Thanks in advance! Cheesy

Edit: Also a good jump rope routine for increasing cardiovascular fitness would be devine Wink
Edit: Also again sorry lol, how can people run for like 20min non stop? I could maybe do 5 to 6 minutes at least lol, is this just something that comes with persistence?

... don't over train because your event is near.  ^^ wish you asked us earlier man.  if all else fails, have the heart to never give up until the test ends. atleast rest 48 hour prior to the even whereby you just for cardio.

OK then, some running advice. To learn how to run for longer, start running slower. Set out at a very slow pace, concentrating on holding yourself back, and you will probably find you will be able to go a lot longer time without tiring. This is because you are not going into oxygen debt with your breathing, which starts to happen as soon as you are breathing heavily. When you go into oxygen debt it means that your leg muscles can't get the oxygen they need, and they feel heavy and sluggish. So, you need to ensure that you don't get too out of breath, slowing the pace down more if you begin to experience this. Running manuals often advise that you should be able to maintain a conversation when you are running. Eventually, as your lungs get more efficient you will take longer to get out of breath and you will also get faster.
