If ankle weights are bad for your joints, would it be worth it to wear one of these training vests while running?

This hugs your core tightly whilst providing additional weight - it's perfect for running etc. as it isn't going to put unnecessary torque or force on any joints yet will add resistance to the exercise. Nothing wrong with a weighted vest.

Hmmm, I always thought ankle weights were bad for your joints because they added overall weight to you, so for that matter the vest would be the same. I think that's why very heavy people are not recommended to run until they have reached a certain weight.
