From what I know about muscles and experience levels in bodybuilding there's "stages" for muscles according to "what are they able to handle". That's why we are taught to go "nice and slowly" by scooby and thats why I never seen a pro bodybuilder to go like that Smiley Because probably, in such an experienced level of muscle, it is not that dangerous for them.
Now, from this knowledge, an interesting questions rises up for me.
When you go cardio, bike or running, even in fast walk muscles are making pretty fast movement. If your leg muscles are in "beginner level stage" isn't it unhealthy for your muscle developement?
Thanks for answers Smiley

To an extent, I would think so. Not so much for the muscles as for the connective tissue and joints. One of the supposed origins of shin splints is too much work, too quickly; inflammation from too frequent/overuse of a tendon can cause longer term and debilitating pain.

So yes, cardio ought to be worked up to too. But for most people fitness (whether cardiovascular or muscular) will actively limit them from causing damage early on, until the body has had some time to adapt and become accustomed to working out.

It's healthy.  You might even get some muscle mass from it but not to the extent given by doing resistance exercises.  :3
