So as the title says, I decided to try out swimming with absolutely insane chest and tricep DOMS. The funny thing is that just about one year ago before I started working out, I used to feel extremely sore just from swimming but now it rid me of all of my DOMS. Normally after my chest/tricep workout on Monday I feel sore even on Saturday but now, I feel I could already work them out again.

Anyone else had experiences of cardio ridding you of DOMS from the muscle group you use most in the cardio of your choice?

Swimming and running do help, I have found as well. I assumed it was because of the increased blood flow.

However, if my arms are really sore I will usually try to swim using mostly my legs.

I have also heard that increased blood flow in the certain muscle group that is sore would speed up the recovery time but I never expected it to aid this much.

I feel the same after trying to make new personal records as to reps with my 90% 1rm.  Briskwalking, jogging, and cycling helps me a lot.

I have noticed that brisk walking, jogging and cycling help me with my leg DOMS but just a little. I think it has something to do about those activities emphazising different muscles than squats, romanian deadlifts and lunges that usually leaves my legs absolutely destroyed for almost a whole week. Maybe I should try fast bodyweight squatting as a form of cardio if it can be used as such?
