Hi

for cardio in winter, i always run on a treadmill or do some stationnary bicycle.

for a total week during holidays i went at my mom's house, since i didnt wanna buy membership at gym for only a week i decided to try tabata (Burpees + mountain climbers). I always felt exhausted after doing it

the next week though, when i came back to my gym, i realised that i lost some of my endurance, i could normaly run 45 mins and after that week i could only run 38 before getting exhausted.

so yeah, im just asking if it can really replace a good 40-45 mins of cardio, im also asking because i would like to do tabata from time to time

thanks

It is. http://cbass.com/Tabata_GXP.htm  - further reading on the subject matter.

However, if you plan to do better at running, you have to run.  Specific adaptation on imposed demands, which in this case is running.  You only lacked practice as to running. Smiley
