So this is something I'd imagine that every person experiences during cardio at one point of another.  That feeling of your lug getting cramped but eventually working itself out and you just keep pumping through.  Its like that state of your body going into its second wind.

I've always been told that it's a good thing and I'd imagine that it is but what is exactly happening when this occurs?

This is what used to happen to me every time I did cardio. Even if I ate something 4-5 hours before doing cardio it always happened to me. I'm guessing the stuff I ate got me a a bit bloated and the gas was affecting me. What I do is cardio during a fast because I feel I always have more energy. Now if I do HITT I have to eat something right after I'm done or else I get dizzy and have a headache.

dude, are you sure you don't have a mild form of asthma?
i got asthma and i need to warmup a lot for cardio or i experience cramped lungs.
Or it just could be that you overload your body by doing too much cardio too quick. Your body needs time to get used to cardio.

No its not cramps.  I don't know how to describe that feeling.  Its when your doing cardio for like 30 minutes and you get that feeling in your lung area that is telling you your tired but you push through and its like getting to the next thresh hold.

I used to feel that when i was running, beggining to run then, and it went away over time.  But i can't say it was my lungs that hurt, but the sides of my ribs.  You know, the muscle area.

Couldn't have described it better. Something tells me it has something to do with bloating since every time it happens to me I start to burp and then I feel relief for a few seconds and then it starts again and again, but that's just me.

That's not your lungs.  It's your stabilizers.  Hehe (It's like how running indirectly hits other muscles). Smiley

So whats going on when that feeling happens then?  It affects me for like 5 minutes then disappears and I feel great afterwards.

Your core is being exercised and them not being trained is getting the thrust of it. Smiley
