I struggle A LOT with my self appearance confidence. I'm not a fat guy, but I'm not Brad Pitt either. I had a tummy tuck done recently, which removed a lot of fat and loose skin from my belly and back area. And ever since I've been working out EVERYDAY. Weights and cardio, the first 3 months, then I slowed down on the cardio.
It seemed though, that when I wasn't doing cardio I felt better about myself, now that I'm back to doing 30 mins of cardio everyday, I feel fatter. I feel uncomfortable all the time, I don't want to sit down because thats the worst time, when the fat "unites" .. I am at approximately 14% BF...
Why do I feel like this? Has anyone ever felt it?

Working out EVERYDAY? You're doing wrong!
Focusing more on the cardio? You're doing wrong!
Not mentioning the importance of one's diet? You're doing wrong!

Why do I feel like this?

Because you define yourself based on your looks.

    Has anyone ever felt it?

I did, but not with respect to appearance.

Sometimes, man, you have to find peace in the fact that fat is not the enemy, but the mind is.  If you change your mind, you'll see a different perspective on things.

Hi, and thanks for your response. I realize now that it is all in the mind, and the fact that I tend to "compare" myself to other males, specially the ones you see like on movies, who have the incredible bodies. I have a nice body, I'm not fat, but then again, I'd like to see myself as a Brad Pitt body. I have a 2 pack on the upper abs, but I still tend to think the worst of myself.
I struggle everyday to try and not focus on that. SOmetimes going as far as to watching everyone around me (who are mostly overweight, and have that huge belly) kinda makes me feel better, that I am in the minority that is not overweight.
I will try to control my mind, like you say. Thanks!

Doing cardio everyday is ok. About 30-45min is good. 1h is great.
But working out everyday may cause over training and injuries since you are not letting your body heal and repair your muscles from your past workouts.

By the way your explaining your body I would doubt that you're actually fat and doubt that you have a bad body.  I mean all we can really say is to stop comparing yourself to brad pitt.  People who get those types of bodies put for a ton of work and are mostly dedicated to keeping it that way.  The best you can do is stay positive and make a realistic goal.  Keep working at it and you'll see that results.

But you shouldn't be working out every single day.  You will start to see progress move more slowely if not come to a halt because your body is going to become way to exhausted and isn't going to be able to heal up and recoup quick enough.

Day a minimum of a day off in the week just to give your body time to heal and relax.

Also if you find yourself still feeling negative about your body go see a therapist, they can help you out a whole lot!
