thats why u shouldn't eat before going to sleep if you want to lose fat so that the body will use all the glucose and start using the glycogen stored in your liver and after 6 hours that will pass while you sleep your body will start burning the fat storage Smiley so eating 3 hours before going to sleep and sleeping a long time is good for losing fat.

and also you should know that even though the primary source of energy is glucose it doesn't mean that if u eat 500 grams of protein it will all be used for building muscle your body will rebuild your muscles if there is any protein then when the muscles are rebuilt the body uses the extra protein as an energy source.  point is  do not eat too much protein and do not eat all your protein at once but divide the amount on your meals , every meal should have a balanced amount of carbs protein and fat. the more u add meals and make them smaller the more likely you are to stay in a anabolic state and less likely to store fat and glycogen in your body  Cool

very important information that should be taken seriously and fully understood thanks for bringing it up  Grin

That is not correct, as explained here.

i didnt say eating late will make u gain fat but not eating late will help u lose fat because your body will have to use the energy stored in it until u eat at breakfast. so eating more smaller meals and not eating late will make it less likely for you to store glycogen or fat . and the fact that i did it in the past and it worked wont change my mind about it . and also the sumos eat only one meal a day late at night

Well, it makes sense to be a myth.

Personally, i never lost muscle when i was on times of low carb diets and no exercise, or in times with no exercise.

Actually i gained muscle and lost most of my fat when i was on a fruit and water diet. Ok, with fish or meat sometimes, but 4 out of 6 meal where fruits.

Only think i notice was that i became weaker, but the strength was rebuilded easily in two weeks, including recovery time from the "injuries" (don't know hoe they are called in English) you get when you workout after a long time.

Last time i had a year to work out, and after two weeks i was lifting the same wights as before a year. Including periods of low carb diets.

    Maybe nature is indeed smart...

Will high intensity cardio (in my case jump rope) for 30 minutes every day burn muscle?
If it's true what should i do, switch jump rope for a softer type of cardio (like jogging), do 10 minutes everyday instead of 30 minutes or just do 30 minutes of jump rope 2-3 days a week instead of everyday?

    Thanks in advance

Cardio for 30 minutes a day, even if it's intense cardio, will not burn muscle.

Cardio for 60 minutes a day will not burn muscle. Look at football (soccer) players.

Yeah I play football, squash and go running for hours a day and I've only ever experienced gains in muscle mass in my legs, I suppose people think that because they aren't gaining super massive legs from lots of cardio that it must be burning muscle, but in truth you wouldn't expect to see massive muscular hypertrophy from low weight and very high repetition training in any of your other muscles so why would you in the legs? But ahh well

I didn't say i expected to gain muscle from cardio, i asked if doing to much intense cardio was bad for the muscles.

I never suggested you had sir, I was merely stating my opinion that that's what a lot of people think. And you asked whether it would it burn muscle, not whether it was bad for the muscles. But yes doing too much cardio is bad for you and your muscles, rest is key after intense exercise as it allows your muscles to repair themselves if you neglect this rest your legs won't be able to repair and so they'll always feel tired and heavy and you could cause yourself a nasty muscular strain, pull or in bad cases a tear. so always include a rest day or two especially after HIIT sessions. Over training muscles (basically just using them too often without rest) also causes nasty mental symptoms such as being irritable, angry, depressed, it also can make you sleep more or less often, make you less or more hungry than usual and generally isn't pleasant for you or the people around you.

I like to be polite Tongue but yeah, it's a strange concept to most that doing less can equal more sort of thing, but from experience you need the breaks from running in order to improve
