Hi,

I am 41 and 185lbs, 6'2" and am in fairly good shape.  I do 1 hour of cardio burning about 700 cal 6 days a week in the morning and am currently doing a 3 day split.
Monday-Chest/tris/abs
Wednesday-Legs/shoulders
Friday-Back/biceps/abs
Sunday off

Diet
6am-6 eggs, 1 whole 5 whites, 1 cup greek yogurt, 1 1/2 cup triple berries, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 cup oatmeal, dash of cinnamon

9am-1 cp greek yogurt, 1 cp triple berries and a apple

12- 6oz chicken, 2 cups baby spinach, 1 cup whole gran pasta, 10 baby tomatoes, and 1tsp olive oil

3pm-1 scoop protein shake, 1oz almonds and 1oz raisins

6pm-6oz chicken, 2 cups baby spinach, and 1 cup brown rice

9pm-1 scoop protein shake, 1/2 cp greek yogurt and 1 oz almonds

By my calculations is around 2450 cals 270.9 protein 48.7 carbs 246

The problem is that i always feel bloated and soft.  I have seen changes in my look but am thinking i need to tweek my diet. I am thinking that I am getting to much protein and not enough fat.  I read about the Carb Cycling and this interest me.  I am going on vacation in 6 weeks and would like to see if there is something that I could change?

Thanks

For you to lose weight, you've got to eat less than what your body consumes by taking your tdee and eating less than such.  You can take your tdee from scooby's calorie calculator and estimate how much you should be eating. Smiley

For you to not look skinny fat, you've got to lift some weights by your doing of your split. Smiley

    What's your current tdee?
How much calories are you eating in total?

    Thank you for the response,

My TDEE 3546 and by my calculations i am getting around 2500 calories now.

I have a messed up back but I can still workout, I just have to be careful and concentrate on slower controlled weight rather than being able to light heavy. I still get a pretty good workout and push to fail.

    Thanks

Wow mudman- you are clearly very motivated to lose weight!

Not much I would change in your diet. If you feel bloated maybe cut back a bit on the 1 1/2 cups triple berries to 3/4 cup and see how that works- assuming you are already watching your sodium intake.

Just keep doing what you are doing and, whatever you do, Do not hurt your back! That will set you back a bit in your quest to be in the best possible shape before your vacation!

    Going anywhere interesting ?
