i have attempted to research this however all i am getting is contradicitng information.

yet i see loads of recipes that bake, heat whey. I am assuming it is ok , however i was wondering if someone could shed more light, using layman terms without comples terminology that some people tend to use.

reason i ask it to make protein bars, and scoobys poo bars are gettng a bit boring now.

Have you tried making scoobys plain protein bars?

An awesome recipe for peanut butter and chocolate snack balls

3tbsp crunchy peanut butter
2tbsp runny honey
3 scoops choc whey powder
1tbsp ground flaxseeds
1tbsp udos oil(or flax oil)
cocoa powder to taste
3tbsp chopped nuts
Rice milk

Mix all the ingredients together, except chopped nuts and rice milk, and make into 10 even balls. Add a few drops of rice milk if needed to bind. Roll balls into chopped nuts and refrigerate for 30 mins before eating.

There's nothing wrong with heating protein, it's used in a lot of recipes. I mean you heat up your chicken or other meats as well and the protein in there doesn't get destroyed/denatured either. Besides, I think your gastric acid is much worse to a whey protein than those silly 300° in the oven  Wink So yeah, enjoy a whole new world of tasty muscle building food!

I've found baking is great so long as you don't let it get too dry OR if you do let it get dry, there is another starchy ingredient (oats/flour etc.) to prevent burning or unpleasantness happening......

Never microwave whey though. It tastes disgusting, and no matter how well it's mixed into a solution or food it makes clumps of gross........ yuckiness. Tongue
