How strict do you need to be with sugar? and is it worse to intake more sugar or fat. I wont go into any huge detail about my diet, it's not completely strict at the moment because I'am trying to gain muscle I only drink water and milk thats my biggest dietary substitution and no fast food. For example I will have a treat every now and again and maybe a chocolate moose. I would say my diet is clean but not too strict.
So is strict diet applied more to the more professional body builder and not to people like me who are trying to pack on muscle early on? Since my diet is quite clean I could just get rid of the odd snack to make my diet more stricter.

A strict bodybuilding nutritioun would maximize your gains. It's ok if you have a treat every once in a while though.

I would say that if it's a planned part of your diet, then sweets are fine. If you are trying to cut calories then it can be tougher, as you try to fit sufficient protein and fat into the diet. I would say excess sugar is worse than excess fat, but we need to define "sugar" in this context. Fruits and vegetables and unrefined sugars aren't bad at all, while poptarts and gummy bears are towards the other end of the scale.

Most questions you have about building muscle is answered in this article.
Getting big, strong muscles and losing fat is simple but it's not easy! To accomplish anything worthwhile in life, you need a firmly fixed goal; willpower; a high tolerance for pain.

Since most of my main meals are clean and are not fast food, I could easily cut any bad stuff out when needed for example replace it for an extra piece of fruit, but since I'am trying to pack on muscle and I'am quite skinny (140lbs). I wont be eating as strict, although it is clean.

If you want to make sure you don't go on a binge, that occasional treat you spoke of is good for you. Some people need that occasional treat to keep them sane, sometimes you can't just go cold turkey on things you love. Make sure you plan it out accordingly so you don't feel guilty about eating it later.
