Hello,

I am 20 years old, 157 lbs, 6'1 height, so a tall and lanky guy.  I don't have a big belly but cannot see my abs (if I even have any).  You could say that my current build is like the before photo of Daniel from Sydney, Australlia in the muscle gain success story section.   This will be my first time seriously working out.  My goal is to gain weight, develop muscles and developing/see my abs.  I want the look of Ryan Gosling.  Not overly muscular and huge. Just well toned and lean.  My question is regarding the calorie counter.  If I select the "gain muscle, lose fat" option will I gain weight or stay steady at my current weight?  Or would it be better for me to choose the "gain muslce" option?

Hope I provided enough information.  All help is appreciated.  Thank you.

When you chose the lose fat and gain muscle you will probably weight less because it's easy to get rid of fat and it's hard to gain muscle. IMO this is the best option. If you have a really small bf procent just go ahead and concentrate only on gaining muscle. Hope my advice helped Cheesy
