This is a shout out to
everybody who is about to post in the nutrition forum, please read this
before posting your question. Not only will you make answering your question a lot easier for us, you perhaps will be able to find the answer after reading this post already! No, this is no FAQ, guide or anything like that.
The reason why I am writing this is that recently I have found a lot of threads consisting out of one line only, mostly it will look like this
"hello i eat oats with cinnamon for breakfast and chicken with vegetables for lunch and this or that for dinner with an occasional cake is this healthy or will i lose muscles or will it make me fat???"Before I come to the point, one thing I want to mark out here. Even though English might not be your first language, and on this international forum this is absolutely fine, please still try to write in an appropriate style. Set a little "." from time to time and if your text is a bit longer hit "Enter" in between. It will give your post a decent look and makes the reader think you are serious about your concern.
Now to the main point,
information. I mean it is nice and fine that you eat this or that but if that is the only thing you tell us nobody can help you.
First of all, do some
research first, please. A lot of questions regarding healthy foods have already been asked and answered over and over again. Browse through the first couple of pages of the nutrition forum or use the search function to specify even more.
Moreover, most of your questions can be answered by informing yourself just a tiny bit. Two websites are connected to this forum;
http://scoobysworkshop.com and
http://evilcyber.wordpress.com/ Sure, those are only two sources but they cover a lot of questions regarding nutrition and will give you a great inside and basic knowledge. I know, reading a lot can be exhausting or simply boring but luckily it is all on tape.
Okay, you watched all videos about nutrition, scanned through the FAQs AND used the search function, yet did not find an answer to your question? Congratulations, it is time for you to post!
STOP! Do
not close this thread yet. Please take your time to read just a little bit more, it will be for your own good. A post like above will not help you and you can post as much as you want,
nobody will be willing to help you. Take three extra minutes to read this and two extra minutes to make your question a question and to get an appropriate answer, as I know that sometimes our community, me included, too can get a little sarcastic from time to time. We all want to maintain a friendly atmosphere, though, don't we?

If you have doubts about special foods you are more than welcome to ask specific questions but give us
information about you. Every person is different and nothing will apply to two people. Don't worry, I am willing to give you a little push.
Answer the following questions in your post and our community will help you as good as it can! (It does not matter if you just list them or integrate them in a coherent text, all that matters is that we know those things.)
- What is your TDEE?
- What is your height?
- What is your weight?
- What is your age?
- What are your goals?
- What does your workout look like? (just a brief insight)
- How often do you work out?
- Do you do cardio as well?
- Are you on any special diet/are there any foods you avoid?
- How many meals a day do you eat?
- Any health concerns?
Those are the things that come to my mind right now but I think if you answer the vast majority of that you will put yourself in a good position.
So please, include that
information into your posts and allow us to help you.
A nice looking post is not only good image for you, it will make a serious impression to readers and to our community, we will be more than willing to clear doubts and without having to ask and ask over again what you actually want everybody saves time.
Thank you!
