i weigh 136, 5'7 1/2 tall and i need like almost 520g of carbs so yea a guy as big as you deff need alot of carbs, carbs is what carrys all those grams of protein to your muscles. if you dont eat more carbs your gains are gonna suffer. 580g is probably more your alley depending on your activity level.

Get your required protein for the day, then fill the rest of the remaining calories in your budget with healthy fats and carbs.  That's as far as you have to worry about it.

How in the world do u ppl get 400g of carbs a day!?
Each piece of bread has 13g carbs so I'd have to eat 30 pieces
    Of bread!?

Try foods such as steel-cut oats or those that list whole wheat, whole oats, or other whole grain as their primary ingredients. Also, brown rice and rice in general has plenty carbs. If you're looking for variety, there is bulgur, wheat berries, millet, or hulled barley. Beans are another great source of carbs and have a fair amount of protein too Smiley

Here's a pretty long list of the HEALTHY CARBS

That and whole fruits (apples, pears, persimmons, etc). Both are a great source of healthy carbs!
