If you read my article you will see that that would go contra the body physiology. you just let your body know there is plenty of food (carbs) available so it doesnt decrease your metabolic burn rate. the next 6 days i stick to a strickt healthy diet of protein, low glycemic carbs and vegtables - 6 meals a day. only than does a cheat day make sense - otherwise you´ll just cheat yourself Fastin I do in the spring day for 3 to 6 days for cleansing. but that´s a different topic.

My cheat day is usually Friday: home made pizza with a couple Coors Lights or maybe a glass of wine. Home made pizza is probably the saver - thin crust, whole wheat flour, not much fatty meat, not much cheese, loads of good vegs.

I usually go for a bowl of vanilla ice cream and I add a banana, nuts and berries. Once or twice a week. I feel like crap for a few days if I go to McDonalds McDonalds is not a cheat food! It is torture to your body! Personally, I enjoy a nice pizza or a calzone from the local pizzeria with some friends once every couple weeks. Yummmm

Maybe you could post a recipe? ^^I tried different things with whole wheat flour, but it didn't work (pancakes for example)

You are craving suggar because your boddy wants fuel to convert into fat. Suggar is the fastest way for that. Contrary to popular opinion , I do believe you need a cheat day, EVERY WEEK. I shall try to explain. A beginner needs the cheat day to stay on track, even if a whole cheat day does a lot of damage, and the advanced BB needs it to stay motivated, although he might not even crave as much junk food anymore and even if he cheats a whole day the damage is minimal. I am planning on writing a lengthy article about this, so I´ll be short here. Many people forget that the comforts and availability in food we enjoy today has only been standard for the last couple of centuries at most. For thousand and thousands of years before that, people had to periodically go thru times withoutout food. Even worse - our ancestors who lived in caves and had to hunt for their food, only got a nice big meal every few days at best of times. So for millions of years our DNA has been programmed to store energy in the form of food whenever it became available. So it´s pretty audacious of bodybuilders to think they can just ignore their inheritance. That´s the reason why so many people fail and give up in fitness because this whole NEVER cheat NONSENSE goes against everything that is programed in their DNA. So, they starve their body for two months, eat one single pringles and blow up like a hot-air balloon and give up frustrated. On top of it they feel like a loser and who wants to than start again, if failure is so imminen? Humans always try to avoid pain and gain pleasure. Yes, we as bodybuilders are actually trying to accomplish a pretty darn unnatural thing, if you want to say it in extreme terms. It goes against evolution to loose fat and build muscle. Muscles need to be fed and they are high maintenance for the body. The body wants to store fat for those days of famine - it doesn´t know that there is a Joe´s Pizza just around the corner. SO; YOU HAVE TO TRICK YOUR BODY INSTINCTS. How? Eat according to Scoobys nutritional recommendations 6 weeks a day - but on your off day, the seventh, eat whatever you crave and as much as you crave. Don´t feel bad - enjoy it. But don´t force yourself - because it could happen, that after a while of proper eating and great workouts you don´t even crave junk food anymore. But if you force yourself never to eat junk, you will fight your body for the rest of your life. Are you gonna win that battle? ` That´s not my way. With this cheat days EVERY week I went down to about 7% bf. Don´t work against your body. Know it´s physiology and work WITH it to achieve your goals. I'm in your opinion and it worked for me too. MY BF is at 6%. But yesterday i realized something. It's difficult that you don't only wait the whole week for your cheating day, so that you can eat waht you want. That would a be a life only for special day. I have no resolution yet. But the more I have a cheating the day the less I want eat junk foods

my cheatmeal: Fish & Chips with a pint of Guinness. Every friday the same procedure, for lunch i go to the pub and get it. How much of a cheatmeal it is after my workout in the morning before work and in the evening 1,5 hours of cardio... Well i always manage to fit it in my daily nutritional needs...

I gotta ask, what exactly constitutes a cheat meal? I'm under the impression all my meals need to be one of the six I've more than likely planned throughout the day. Any of what my dad and his girlfriend are cooking is not for me. I'm kinda tempted to have a bowl of stew though (just meat, carrots and potatoes). I just don't know if it'd be considered a cheat meal. I'm getting really sick of these beans and veggies every other night, then adding in some pasta for a variety.
