so, i watched the documentary called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly dead". i was suspicious about it being designed to sell juicers but the info provided was intriguing. The concept is to do an initial "reboot" of nothing but juiced veggies for a certain amount of days (5, 10, 15+) and then use it as a meal replacement option. initial weight loss is fast and there are lots of claimed health benefits. you'd obviously need to use protein supplements for muscle gain. http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/thoughts?

Another Pure unadulterated crap weight loss diet. There are no benefits to juice or dietary supplements over real food. It seems like thermic effect would decrease, and you'd be hungrier. A caloric deficit is one of the only ingredients needed to lose weight.

In short and simple terms.
To be honest, I checked out their method of fat loss. Historically such diets have been tried, often and while they jump start your weight loss, they quickly end up halting.
Basically in this forms of juice diets: They simply toss just fruits, vegetables & nuts to blender. Blend them and drink em.
Benefits: Lots of usefull macronutrients, fats, fibers, etc. Negative sides: Doesn't work alone to fulfill all nutrition needs.
To be realistic: You can get ALL benefits by tossing following stuff into your blender: vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs or whatever you want to get into your diet. You can controll your macro ratios much better, still eating lots of things that benefit your bodybuilding. Without buying their shitty books or dvds. Also the approach is not bad if you don't wish to cook veggies or dont feel like eating. etc.
Eitherway, forget about this shite, doesn't take rocket scientist to reap the benefits of veggies with blending. And definetly not expencive crappy diet plan that costs much more than you benefit from it.

as someone who loves to blend fruits and veggies everyday ima have to say WTF no dont do this, you want to remove toxins and metals from your body? supplement chlorella (not sure if i spelled that right.) with your normal diet. have cancer and are dying? yea sure go for it can use it as a natural resort to cure yourself from it (not a 100% guarantee you can still die).

No, humans die. Death may only be prolonged. But if it tastes great, it's always a wonderful addition to one's meal choices. :3

Failed with this juicing thing I gotta eat. I'm going to try making a veggie/fruit juice for breakfast though along with a protein shake. But damn fasting is hard I couldn't go more than 2 days without chewing on some food. I felt terrible it may have just been my body going through withdrawals of my love for food but geez I was miserable for two days.

If any of you actually watched the movie, the main intent of the diet was to help the host get rid of his autoimmune disease. Weight loss was just a fortunate byproduct. At the end of the day its still calories in, calories out.
