Out of interest how much protein (g) can the body handle (before it starts getting wasted as theres too much) in one meal/sitting.

Depends on too many factors to really know. Fact is, 30g is definitely NOT the limit. This number comes from studies done under poor circumstances, drawing ridiculous conclusions from it. Eat up!

Just had a meal with ~100g of proteins, I'm positive I won't waste any gram of it.

The body will use as much protein as it needs to recover/rebuild muscle fibers. If you need 160g of protein for proper recovery, that's what your body will use regardless of how frequently you eat it.

The recovery shake I make and devour after working out has around 70g of protein in it and I sometimes have a can of tuna or some turkey alongside it so it makes about 100g in one sitting

All the studies claiming 30g a meal were funded by supplement companies that sell powders with 30g serving sizes, how convenient!
The only real research I saw was actually looking at diabetes and how long dietary protein elevated insulin levels, and for a fasted subject drinking a scoop of protein powder in water, that was around 3 hours before the excess protein started being converted to sugar for storage, which continued for a couple hours. Once you add in reality, which includes fats, fiber, and previous meals in your body that aren't based around the fastest digesting protein you can buy, that equation changes significantly.

I get meals with 200g occasionally, depending on how much meat and cottage cheese is around. Half of that would get broken into sugars and used like a carbohydrate though, due to the fact that is 1.5 times my daily needs.
