quick question about tv dinners and salmon
«

i've watched a lot of your videos in the past week, and i really like them. right now i've changed my eating up and i'm trying to loose my belly and get a flat stomach.
i'm 5'7 and weigh 140 lbs.
i use to drink at least 2 cokes a day.
I don't drink none anymore.
I use to eat sweets every day.
I don't do that anymore.
now I exercise and walk around the park for 40 minutes every day.
I have a couple of questions I would like to ask.
I seen on your scooby's nutrition site that says that boneless skinless salmon is a good meal with mixed veggies.
i'm looking at the can and it says that 1/2 the can is 60 calories and 20 calories from fat, wouldn't that be considered bad?
i've been eating tv dinners every day along with beans and some of my mom's soup.
the tv dinner is weight watchers and has 200 calories and it's 60 calories from fat. is the good, fair, or bad?
thanks

I'm not sure if what im about to say really answers your question or not, but just my 2 cents:
A decent amount of the time, you will find that anything cooked at home, (ie salmon and veggies) is
somewhat better than pre-packaged meals you find from the supermarket for these reasons:
1. You know exactly what is going into your food if you're cooking it yourself at home.
2. Its usually cheaper. Pre-packaged meals (especially weight watchers) are usually quite expensive).
3. Portion control - If you're trying to lose fat, its much easier to control how much you are eating.
I regularly have salmon+veggies for lunch every second week, (I rotate with chicken) and its
really easy to cook everything. Salmon goes into a saucepan with some spices and the lid put on to steam,
veggies (brocoli, mushrooms, cauliflower, beans) go into a bowl with a little bit of water and covered into
a microwave to steam.
Whether or not Weight Watchers meals are actually healthy for you or not I couldn't tell you without
seeing the label.

I know Scooby says that some packaged meals are actually alright (man, that guy HATES to cook) :p
But yea, don't forget to check the ingredients for extra sodium, GM fats and all that jazz.

i usually just warm the veggies up in the microwave and eat the salmon cold. i found out that sprinkling creole seasoning on your meal has to much sodium. so i went out today and bought garlic powder and virgin olive oil to mix when putting it in the pan.
oh and btw, here is a link to one of the weight watcher meals, i've been eating

processed food is inferior to good old healthy home cooked meals!! and the fat from the salmon is very beneficial dont worry about how much fat there is worry about getting too many or too little calories in you. so in other words the salmon and veggies' calories are more nutrient dense and the tv dinners have little or none, plus tv dinners usually have too much sodium which is bad for blood pressure and makes you retain water and mistake that water weight for fat on your belly!! hope this helped and didnt confuse you xD

right. i read where a normal person can have at least 2220mg of sodium and then that's cutoff. if you have this when your trying to loose belly fat, does it still effect you, or not? if it does, i'll try to avoid it as much as i can.

it does not affect you losing belly fat at all BUT aesthetic wise it makes you retain water weight, for example the water you drank yesterday and the day before some of it stays in you instead of peeing it out, so you collect on your belly what looks like fat and you think is fat but its just water that you will lose quickly if you stop eating so much salt xD
