Well, good mornings ARE better! But they engage the same portion of the hamstrings that the romanian deadlifts do. Romanian deadlifts are kinda like good mornings with the bar on the ground, or stiff-legged deadlifts with a little knee bend, whichever way you want to look at it. I think I will give good mornings a try tough, one of those days when I'm too sore from deadlifts to perform RDL (like what happened last week). Thanks ^^

hjortur i was gonna suggest stiff legged dead lift but as you do two types of deadlift already i though a 3rd variation would be to much and good mornings kicks the hamstrings butt Smiley

You bring the heads of conquered kings to my city steps. You insult my queen. You threaten my people with slavery and death. Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, Persian. Perhaps you should have done the same!

This is Blasphemy! This is madness!!

By far the coolest picture I've seen on here Smiley

Congrats on the 300th post and good luck dude Smiley

By far the best post on here ever to be honest!

Dips - The Chin-ups of triceps

Thanx  Grin

I decided to swap legs and arms day this time coz my knee was feeling a little tingly (nothing serious) yesterday. Turns out the tingling was nothing. Don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but my dad has been taking some classes 5 times a week at world class, so I've been going with him there (I'm in Reykjavík right now, but I'm going back home soon (no more heavy-ass dumbbells and dipping belts with chains =C) So anyways:

Thursday's Arm/ab Workout (doing tricep and bicep exercises in supersets)
Weighted Dips 30kg - 4 + 5 + 5
Weighted neutral-grip pull-ups 10kg - 6 + 5 + 5
Skullcrushers 30kg - 8+7+7
Incline Curls 12,5kg - 7+7+5
Triceps Push-downs (lbs) - 35x12 45x12 55x10
(didn't realize the weight wasn't kg til' I tried hanging in 80kg and it came down (I'm under 70kg)

Following exercises were done in a superset (wanted to finish quickly because my dad was done early)
Crunches 15kg - 12+11+11
Bicycles 5kg - forgot to count; did it til it hurt
Planks - about 1min each

Friday's Leg Workout
Squats 110kg - 9+10+10
Deadlifts 120kg - 6+8+6
Front Squats - 70x10+8 80x5
(was sharing the squat rack and thought; heck, I'll go with it.)
Good Mornings - 40x12 45x12 50x12 (I followed your advice, Fin! Leg curl machine was being a pain so I thought, "Fin told me to do good mornings; I'll do good mornings!" (+rep))
Calf Raises - 155x12 195x5 155x12 (My dad kinda dared me to leg press the entire weight set on the leg press machine. Turns out I could do it so I did a few calf raises since it was already up there)

Guys, it's not without a reason they advice against doing squats and deadlifts on the same day. This is really hard! I owe a big thanks to Kje Simen for advising me to do low-bar squats, it's a big reason that my squats have been going up like CRAZY in the last month. Too bad I can't rep the same post twice xD. About a year ago, 110 was pretty much my one rep max. Now I can do it for 3x10! Really happy with this progress. This workout will hurt like hell tomorrow though, I can tell you that xD

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while, guys! I've been drowning in work. Last week I never even got as much as 3 hours of consecutive sleep. Sadly, I didn't go to the big party because my friends all had to bail... We had bad tickets, so we wouldn't have gotten off the island til' Tuesday, and they couldn't get time off from work. It wasn't such a let-down though, because we went to the herring adventure instead (another party event in Siglufjörður in the north of Iceland). It made me a little happy that there was pouring rain in Vestmannaeyjar (the big party), while we got sunshine (I know, cheering at other people's misfortunes is bad  Roll Eyes). And yes, I did meet an interesting lady; the weekend was NOT a disappointment  Grin. It was just a night's worth of fun for the both of us though; I still remain single. I rocked my ass off all weekend long, and went to a concert with my ex favorite (Paparnir).

Apart from work, the gym has also been closed for the last couple of weeks, but I'm moving to Reykjavík after the weekend, and getting a year's membership to some great gym, so you'll be seeing some good workouts in the nearby future.

Oh, and I might start making a series of videos soon; look forward to that! ^^

Internet doesn't work in my new apartment yet  Roll Eyes But good news! I've got a year's subscription at world class!

Thursday's leg workout
Squats - 120x1 110x4 90x10
(Silly me, I made a miscalculation and accidentally loaded the bar with 120kg instead of 100  Grin)
Romanian Deadlift 100kg - 10+8+9
Leg extensions - 65x12 75x10 75x9
Leg curls 65kg - 10+9+9

I meant to do front squats instead of leg extensions, but Frosti, my gym partner, wore himself out on squats before I even finished my warm-up, so I decided to do something easier.

Friday's arm workout (supersets)
Dips BW+20kg - 10+8+6
Chin-ups BW+10kg - 8+6+4

Tricep cable pushdowns - 21x12+9 19x12
Hammer curls 12kg - 10+10+6

overhead tricep extensions - 16x12 18x12+10
incline curls 7kg - 12+12+9
