Try not to cook it. Just eat oat flakes with milk.
All the other suggestions still go with this.

I hate plain old oat meal too. I won't eat it without something adding flavor. No suggestions though. you got enough.

To me it tastes like if someone thew up in my bowl and sadly no amount of flavor, milk, syrups or fruits managed to get me past the second bite. I hate oatmeal.

Put it in a blender, mash it up and drink it. That's what I do with food I hate.
Add some whey and you have my homemade ''weight gainer''.

Try adding a fruit you like. Raisins does the trick for me!

I give to you - The ultimate oatmeal / porridge I make mine 50% water and 50% milk because I like the thickness. 1 cup oats is therefore cooked with 1 cup milk and 1 cup water When it's cooked I chop about half an orange into it and mix shredded coconut into it. This tastes like a pudding so good. Sometimes I add apples and grapes too. The coconut adds quite a bit extra fat, but who cares? It's breakfast This alone has about 20 grams of protein but I have eggs every breakfast too so that is more.

This is what I eat 45 mins before a weight lifting session. Seems to give me a good energy boost for my work out. Take your simple oat meal add water or milk, microwave. Cut up a banana throw it in. Enjoy.
You can try your own methods on this idea. It's not a revolutionary idea but it does mix things up, experiment.
For me this fights hunger and is an Ok protein meal pre work out. Post workout I drink my protein shake or eat Chicken / Salmon depending on how much time is available.

I have found oat meal to give me the best results as a pre-workout meal. I eat it cold with milk and usually a banana.

I like mine with skim milk and some fat free cottage cheese. I also eat it cold... I found I liked the flavour better when it was cold when I was camping a while back.

Oatmeal with bananna or dates is pretty good. I like a little butter and brown sugar sometimes too, don't hate.

My favorite oatmeal recipe is 1/2 dry old fashioned oats cooked with skim milk, a tbsp of cocoa powder and the stevia sweetener and 1Tbsp of peanut butter. Reese's oatmeal in the morning, great energy booster for when I workout after.
