Successful experiment. Works for pancakes and waffles too.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup oats 1/2 cup kashi golean 6 egg whites 1 cup plain fat free Greek yogurt or fat free cottage cheese 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 apples sweetener cinnamon vanilla extract maple extract (purely optional, but makes it really good)
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. cut the apples into small chunks and toss in a blender with 1/4 cup water; puree 3. pour blender contents into saucepan and put on medium low with some vanilla and cinnamon to taste 4. put the kashi, oats, whites in the blender, and blend for minute; puree 5. in another bowl mix Greek yogurt, vanilla, cinnamon, maple extract, and 2 tbsp sweetener 6. put the blended mixture in the Greek yogurt and mix together 7. add the batter in a 9 inch cake pan, grease it first with spray; toss in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean, check after 5 8. when done take out our cake, and put it on a plate, add apple sauce on top with sup sugar free maple syrup or honey, fat free whipped cream and enjoy
Note: don't throw out the eggs yolks, use them for another recipe or simply scramble them with sauteed onions
Macros: 610 calories 51g protein 4-5g fat note: with apple sauce and my 130 calorie 15g protein Greek yogurt, yours could possibly be better in calorie to protein depending on brand, also apple sauce isn't completely required, but then it would be Washingtonian.

Excellent foundation. I'd make a couple changes due to taste preferences, but a damned good base for it. Keep 'em coming!

Next is Halloween cake, then a thanksgiving one, basically one for every month using different flavors, off this same foundation. This is more "september" though.

Anyone tried it? I need to know how it could improve for Halloween version as far as base and texture though, been brainstorming a lot.
