So I've been researching for 2-3 days now about Creatine - seeing as it allows more energy to your muscles when needed most - allowing you to push harder in a workout. I've seen several studies saying it does indeed work and some which say some negative thoughts, saying it is dangerous for the body. I've looked on the website here and I've seen several different opinions regarding the supplement and how much you should take.

As for me I have a few questions - being new to the supplement world I am curious how many of you take creatine, and how much I should take (daily?) - Currently 165lbs at 5'11. I am curious if you guys feel  that this is a safe supplement, is it worth the purchase? Does this supplement actually improve gains or is this total bull?

WHAT CREATINE SHOULD I INVEST IN? Keep in mind I don't have a huge budget.

Heres a creatine guide. It should answer all the questions you have

http://www.askscooby.com/nutrition-39/creatine-faq/

As for whether or not you need creatine, I would say no. It gives you some extra reps and a little bit more strength which is good, but its really up to you do decide if 1-2 extra reps is worth spending your money. I may try it some time in the future when my muscle gains slow down.

As for what brand, I have only tried products from optimum nutrition and prolabs. They both also have lines of creatine so go ahead and try one of the two. Also make sure to get the creatine monohydrate.

IMO you can take creatine for 10 weeks , more than 12 weeks it will lose its effectiveness , you need to cycle it off atleast for 6 weeks so that your body flushes out creatine completely

coming to type of creatine - BUY CREAPURE , do not buy normal micronized creatine by GNC , Ultimate Nutrition or Dymatize

buy CREAPURE by Optimum nutrition , Prolab or GAT - this is a german creatine monohydrate which is said to be 99% pure , IMO this is better than normal mono but slightly expensive ( may be 4 dollar more than normal mono hydrate )
