Your body has 2 main ways of clearing out chemicals, your liver or kidneys.

Creatine and alcohol are both processed by the liver, and large amount of either (or both) will cause liver damage as the liver tries to keep up.

Also, creatine can seriously dehydrate you, which is why if you're using it properly you'll need to drink LOTS of water (urine should be almost clear all the time and you'll probably be going to the bathroom every hour).  Alcohol also dehydrates you (that's mostly what a hangover is, a really bad dehydration headache).

So if you're using creatine you really shouldn't be drinking.  Or be nursing one drink most of the night.

I personally don't think the benefits of creatine are worth the risks or expense, but you've already made that decision for yourself, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you did some reading and chose carefully.

The only risk yu have is that 80% of the creatine that is out there has other substances in it than creatine.

well, i do live in switzerland and it's not allowed to sell protein or creatin and other supplements in an official store here if it hasnt been proofed by the health organistaion that it is clean.
in other words if u write 100% clean on ur package, it has to be 99.999% clean.

And a large number of those other things mixed in with the creatine are also toxic to the liver.

I think of dehydration and liver toxicity as the main risks.  I knew some people who used to take it in high school, and honestly it didn't seem to make much of a difference.  It seemed to make them look a little swollen, and maybe help them squeeze out another rep or two in the gym.  Never seemed it was worth it to me.  It was really expensive and I didn't want to gain 5lbs of water and try to pretend that it was muscle Tongue

If you think it's right for you, and you have the money to burn, go ahead and try a cycle or two.  Just keep very well hydrated.

I don't live there and don't know whether in practise that all is true, but if it were, that would be awesome. Smiley

well i talked to my sports teacher which studied the sport thingy, dunno how u call that in english, several times about training, protein and other supplements and he told me that it is made sure that theres nothing else in there and that itis save to buy it if u do so in an offical store.
so i should always buy it in a store and never in the internet especially not when the supplement is commin from the usa he said Wink

so i looked it up to day u really need a permission if u wanna sell any supplement officially in switzerland so its guaranteed creatine is 100% clean Cheesy
as well looked up there shouldnt be any problems with creatine if its clean.

@rubenvl: what do u think about the topic? i read in a thread that u're drunk quite often at weekends and in another that creatin is one of ur favorite supplemnets, so what would u say any danger about clean creatin in combination with alcohol?
and could u pls tell me what u like it / in which ways do u think it helps?
i'd apriciate ur answer on that.

Personally I do both, (alcohol one night per week) on the night I plan on drinking alcohol I don't have the creatine (I will take the dose in the morning but not at night). Then when I get home after drinking I will drink ALOT of water and get back to the creatine the next day. Never had any 'ill' feelings or anything. Not ideal I know but im still gaining strength etc... so it can't be effecting me that much, the only thing I worry about is my liver, how would you know if it's being over worked? lol

In my experience, alcohol doesn't interfere in the working of creatine in comparison if you would not be using creatine. I believe you can drink and get good gains depending on both your genes and the amount and frequency of your drinking.
Just to be curious, where have you read that creatine is my favourite? Sicne it's not. My favourite is milk/chocolate milk. Smiley
