is worth it taking fish oil pills to help lose fat and what about CLA? while also taking liquid L Cardinate. Also doing cardio at least 3 times a week and eating healthy to promote maximum fat loss. im trying to get rid of the remain fat i got on my stomach. I got on my chest 6mm, abs, 18mm, legs 12mm. I can see the top two abs and the cuts on the side of em that make like a V shape, but i want to be able to see all six. I also do weighted ab exercises. will all of that combined with those supplements help my burn fat faster.

Honestly, i did not feel any benefits that fish oil is supposed to give, but i take it anyways because i know it's doing me some good. When picking fish oil, quality matters. Don't pick the cheap ones with all those chemicals.

When finding the right fish oil, aside from quality is the amount of EPA and DHA that are in each pill which are the Omega 3's that you want. If fish oil says 1,000 mg, it may only contain actually 180 EPA and 120 DHA, so read the back label always before you buy.

Next, what do i recommend. Well there are way too many different brands such as Nature Made, etc... They can come pretty expensive. The ones I buy are from www.truenutrition.com and they have 1,000 fish oil for only ~$30. Each softgel has 180 EPA & 120 DHA. Their manufacturer is supposedly Meg-3 (True Nutrition owner claimed this, although I tried contacting Meg-3 to ask if it was true but they declined to reveal) which is a high quality manufacturer.

So if you want, you can also buy the ones I bought since I think it's the  best bang for the buck. It will last you a very long time.

Another option for omega fat acids is hemp hearts and flax meal.  Both seem to have less pollutants than fix oil.  I prefer hemp seeds as they offer a good dose of protein and omega fats.

you should always take essential fatty acids such as fish oils for general good health!!!! some research says it promotes fat loss but its not anything to run home about! Stick to a high protein low fat and low carb diet for that...

Seeds are good but in no way a substitute for fish oil unfortunately. Flax seeds only contain ALA, and although it is an Omega-3, it's not one that our body needs. Only 15% of ALA gets converted to EPA and 5% to DHA. So it'd be better to just take fish oils, although it's never bad to get some mix of seeds into your meal

I don't want to hijack the thread, but do you guys have any more recommendations for a high quality fish oil. What about the one from Biotest, Flameout?

Buy salmon oil, that way you actually know what fish it is from and its of high quality.. 400 tabs here in Aus cost me 22bucks!!

its bloody cheap, but to get the actual benefits claimed in studies u have to have atleast 6 tabs a day.. atm i am doing 9 per day. there are huge benefits to be had according to studies, but in high dosages.

i have 3 at each meal and its great, i train everyday, sometimes twice a day and i believe it to be cheap insurance

since the pills are pretty big is there an easier way to take them. for example blend them in with a protein shake. cuz it takes be like 3 full glasses of water to swallow one pill.

I started taking fish oil in July.  Ever since then, I had little to no joint pains anymore.
I am a dedicated run, and I would get all sorts of pains from going out too hard.  Not sure if it's the fish oil doing it, but I have been feeling better since I started taking it.  On top of it, my resting HR has gone down a bit and is more relaxed during my runs; it's very surprising since I have an MVP.  But who knows.  Fish oil is pretty cheap, I haven't felt any negative effects from it, so I am going to keep taking it.

I think barleans fish oil capsules are as good as it gets.
Ultrapurified, certified organic, Tested by FDA registered labs.
Not cheap though - I pay $30 for 250 caps
