Just have a few questions about them.

What kind do you use?
What are the pros and cons?
What do they exactly do.

Reason I ask is people used to talk about them alot at the gym just wondering what there for thanks.

I gives you healthy omega-3 fat. It does nothing for your training* or for weight loss, but it will help you avoid disease in 30-40-50 years.

Oil pills are not always the best, since they are processed, and may actually contain some transfat. Omega-3's are very fragile. I don't use them, rather I eat plenty of fish, and grind two table spoons of flax seed in a coffee mill and eat on my oats in the morning. Oils tend to store best in natures own container.

*I think, there may be a study or two disagreeing out there.

omega 3s are all the rage these days

people trying to sell them to you will claim that they have a multitude of health benefits - brain, skin, joints, sexual performance (ok I made that last one up)

at the very least the fish oil is good for you and if you don't eat a lot of fish consuming the oil in pill form may provide similar benefits

My doctor told me that omega 3s help eliminate triglycerides (fat) from the blood which is the primary objective - heart health

I take the kind from Costco, its USP certified

I only take cod liver oil for a fish supplement, as I take flaxseed oil caps.

if you do take some make sure your getting all the omegas, cos if your taking them you might as well go for the full range, I get 3, 6 and 9 from my flaxseed oil, but i see these omega tablets they sell only have 3 and 6.

I take it as I was getting joint pain for some crazy reason so when I started taking it after a number of weeks I stopped getting the pain, it could have been just luck but I don't want to risk things lol
