Nothing wrong with adding a shake to boost your calorie and protein count, just dont replace food with them.

If you are hitting your macros there is no need to add protein powder- you will just get fat.

I've never used one that has less than 500cal per serving, and I've been using them for years and never gained any fat.

Whey protein is ..IMO..a great way to supplement your diet to meet your needs for protein..because unless you can afford to eat lean meat all the time..whey is a highly affordable option...HOWEVER..if you're not struggling to meet your needs for protein I wouldn't worry about it...if there was any time to have a whey protein supplement in a case where you meet all your protein needs throughout the day..would be postworkout with a fast digesting carb

    but thats just my opinion....

    I personally use Labrada's LEAN BODY®
    Hi-Protein Meal Replacement Shakes

    Only $2.30 a serving.

I used the Shakes to get to my Lowest Personal Best BF (Measured by Hydro Static) testing.

Plus they travel well in my suitcase when I'm on the road.
