I eat 5 meals a day and 4 of them are rich in protein

I workout at 6 pm , I eat my dinner with protein foods

I think I am eating enough protein in a day , I take 1 scoop of multi blend before bed

But many say whey protein is a must post workout , whey protein aids greater recovery post workout

Well I can afford only one protein powder and I prefer multi blends over whey ( as whey price is increasing )

Is it ok if I take 2 whole eggs post workout?  I asked ma coach , he says fast absorbing protein like whey isolates are best for post workout

And almost everyone sound like it is very important to drink whey protein post workout

Is post workout nutrition that important ? I eat protein rich food spread throughout the day but everyone sounds like post workout protein shake is the most important thing for recovery

As others have said, whey protein shakes are not a must post workout, but I would recommend taking a look at this article http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_nutrition/the_top_10_post_workout_nutrition_myths;jsessionid=7FBD843AE9C02C5178787F3D54D65BC0-mcd01.hydra which may answer your question better.
